Eagle's Nest Baptist Ministries

Grounding break in the Spring of 2006 for the building that will become home for boys at risk was the result of the vision and work of veteran missionaries, Jonathan and Charissa Edwards.  The building site is on a bluff overlooking the Three Springs Ranch and was carved out of the ranch property where the Edwards have worked, lived and dreamed for this opportunity.  Future plans for this site include a home for boys at risk, a place of retreat for Christian workers needing respite and/or counsel, and a place for training missionaries in practical skills for mission field work.

Work is now underway on the building that will house the Eagle's Nest ministries.  The foundation and slab will be completed soon and work will begin on pouring the ICF (insulated concrete forms) for the walls.  Thanks to donations of materials that Jonathan has been able to obtain, and volunteer workers and cash donations, all the work that has been completed to date has been fully paid.  Skilled volunteers and mission teams are being lined up for next spring to complete the walls, framing in and roofing the building, etc.  The goal is to have the basement area completely finished and ready for use as the boys' dormitory.  At least another $150,000 is needed for this phase of the project.  Donations of building materials are also needed.  An additional $70,000 at least will be needed to complete the upstairs area of the building in the second phase of the building project.
